Roseville, Calif.-based nonprofit Adventist Health will contribute $13.3 million to expand services at Adventist Medical Center- Selma (Calif.), according to The Fresno Bee.
The project includes adding a six-bed intensive care unit, seven additional emergency beds, an isolation room, cardiac catheterization lab and upgrading the surgery department, according to the report. It does not involve any new construction, as only existing space will be used, according to the report.
"We have new specialists and primary care physicians in the Selma area, and expanding services will allow them to care for patients here," Nina Plata, vice president at the Selma hospital, told The Fresno Bee.
