9 recent hospital, health system outlook and credit rating actions

The following hospital and health system credit rating and outlook changes and affirmations took place in the last week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Moody's affirms 'A1' rating on Children's National Medical Center
Moody's Investors Service affirmed its "A1" rating on Washington, D.C.-based Children's National Medical Center's series 2015 revenue bonds, affecting $364.3 million of debt.  

2. Fitch upgrades Salem Health's rating to 'AA-'
Fitch Ratings upgraded Salem (Ore.) Health's outstanding rated dent to "AA-" from "A+." 

3. Moody's affirms 'A1' rating on Memorial Health System
Moody's Investors Service affirmed its "A1" rating on Springfield, Ill.-based Memorial Health System's outstanding debt. 

4. S&P revises Huntington Memorial Hospital's outlook to negative
S&P Global Ratings affirmed its "A-" rating on Pasadena, Calif.-based Huntington Memorial Hospital's series 2014A and 2014B revenue bonds. 

5. Fitch assigns 'A+' issuer default rating to UNC Rex Healthcare
Fitch Ratings assigned its "A+" issuer default rating to Raleigh, N.C.-based UNC Rex Healthcare. 

6. Fitch upgrades Wise Health System to 'BBB-'
Fitch Ratings upgraded Decatur, Texas-based Wise Health System's series 2014A revenue bond rating to "BBB-" from "BB+," affecting $93.7 million of debt. 

7. Fitch upgrades Major Hospital's rating to 'A'
Fitch Ratings upgraded Shelbyville, Ind.-based Major Hospital's issuer default rating to "A" from "BBB+."

8. S&P downgrades Kuakini Health System's rating to 'B'
S&P Global Ratings downgraded Honolulu-based Kuakini Health System's long term rating to "B" from "B+."  

9. S&P revises Lake Region Healthcare's outlook to positive
S&P Global Ratings affirmed its "BBB-" rating on Fergus Falls, Minn.-based Lake Region Healthcare's revenue debt.
