1. $250M expansion project proposed at Christiana Care Health System
Wilmington, Del.-based Christiana Care Health System proposed a neonatal intensive care unit expansion plan, estimated to cost $250 million.
2. MU Health Care, Cerner design clinic rooms for better patient experience
In collaboration with Cerner, University of Missouri Health Care opened a new Columbia, Mo.-based outpatient facility outfitted with patient-centered, tech-enabled spaces.
3. New York budget proposes $700M for upstate hospitals and $700M for construction in Brooklyn
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo proposed a budget that would give upstate hospitals $700 million for capital improvements including a new inpatient facility. The budget also set aside $700 million for capital construction in east or central Brooklyn.
4. St. Luke's Boise Medical Center seeks approval for expansion
St. Luke's Boise (Idaho) Medical Center submitted its plan for a $300 million to $400 million dollar expansion plan which includes a new pediatric facility.
5. $4.6M women's center at WellStar Cobb Hospital to be completed in January
The $4.6 million renovation to the women's center at WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga., is scheduled to be completed by the end of January.
6. Board of Texas Children's Hospital approves $506M expansion
A $506 million expansion is planned for Texas Children's Hospital in Houston that includes constructing a 19-story children's heart center.
7. New Parkland hospital will open to patients this summer
Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas announced the new 2.1-million-square-foot, 17-story Parkland hospital will officially open to patients Aug. 20. The new Parkland hospital has 862 beds.
8. USA Children's and Women's Hospital to build $27M physician office
Birmingham, Ala.-based Doster Construction Company announced it will immediately begin building a $27.3 million physician office at Mobile, Ala.-based USA Children's and Women's Hospital.
