5 hospital CFOs in the headlines

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news this past week.

1. Gary Willis was in the news this week as he was named executive vice president and CFO of Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare.

2. Michael J. Culotta was in the news this week as he was named CFO of Quorum Health Corp. — the company formed through the spin-off of 38 hospitals and Quorum Health Resources by Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

3. Kanner Tillman, PhD, CFO of Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Hospital & Encino Hospital Medical Center, was in the news this week discussing the challenges hospitals face in competing on price and quality at the same time.

4. Ken Tillman was in the news this week as he was named CFO of Houston County Community Hospital in Erin, Tenn.

5. Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital CFO Michael Reney was in the news this week as he is leaving his position to become CFO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
