$46M expansion project at Washington Regional Medical Center set to begin this month

Construction on a $46 million women's health services expansion project at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., is slated to begin later this month, according to Birmingham, Ala.-based engineering and construction firm Robins and Morton, which was awarded the project.

The project, a 133,000-square-foot, five-story tower, will create more operating room space, a larger neonatal intensive care unit, new pediatric and adult patient rooms and additional clinic space, according to a news release from the firm. It will add nearly 80 beds, a second helipad and a parking garage with 360 spaces.

The new facility is scheduled to be completed in late 2016, according to a news release.
