4 recent hospital capital projects

Here are four recently announced, started or completed capital projects at hospitals and health systems, beginning with the most recent.

1. Cox Medical Center Branson $30M ED, critical care unit construction project nearing completion
Cox Medical Center Branson (Mo.) is close to completing a $30 million emergency department and critical care unit project, which includes a 42,000-square-foot addition and the renovation of 18,000 square feet of space.

2. UT Southwestern completes $500M William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital
UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas has completed construction of its $500 million William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in Dallas, the facility that will replace the aging St. Paul University Hospital.

3. University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital plans $150M construction, renovation
University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington is planning a $150 million construction and renovation project, which includes completing the last two floors of its existing 12-story patient care tower.

4. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center opens new transplant center
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles opened a new three-story transplant center, which brings the hospital's liver, kidney, lung and pancreas transplant patient services under one roof.
