Thirteen companies extended their revenue cycle management portfolios with healthcare vendors and providers in April.
1. Ontario Systems, an accounts receivable and healthcare revenue cycle management software and services provider, and revenue cycle solutions company Recondo Technology formed a partnership to help providers increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve cash flow.
2. Indianapolis-based iSalus Healthcare, a provider of EHRs, practice management and billing services, signed a strategic alliance agreement with AXO HMS, a provider of medical billing, coding and collection services.
3. TransUnion Healthcare, a subsidiary of credit and information management company TransUnion, unveiled its prior authorization service and enhanced its insurance eligibility solution.
4. ZirMed, a provider of cloud-based revenue cycle software and predictive analytics, unveiled an updated version of its coverage detection solution.
5. PrognoCIS, an EHR software and revenue cycle management service, partnered with Transworld Systems, a provider of outsourced accounts receivable management and loan servicing solutions, to help healthcare providers improve RCM performance.
6. Alpharetta, Ga.-based TruCode, a provider of medical coding software, collaborated with CPSI, a health IT vendor for community hospitals and post-acute care facilities to improve coding accuracy and productivity.
7. Katy, Texas-based Right Medical Billing, a provider of medical billing services, signed a memorandum with Dallas-based Preeminent Technology, a provider of healthcare IT support, to expand their existing collaboration.
8. Azalea Health, which offers cloud-based health IT and medical billing solutions, acquired LeonardoMD, a practice management and EHR provider.
9. iHealth Solutions, a healthcare software and services company based in Louisville, Ky., acquired New Jersey-based emPower Docs, a provider of revenue improvement services for large independent practices.
10. Minneapolis-based ABILITY Network, an applications and analytics provider for revenue cycle management, acquired San Diego-based ShiftHound, a cloud-based software service healthcare workforce management solutions company.
11. Nashville, Tenn.-based Change Healthcare — a software and analytics, network solutions and technology services provider — deployed two additional provider collection solutions.
12. Patient Accounts Services, a healthcare revenue cycle management provider, and The Sirrus Group, which specializes in insurance reimbursement services, merged to create Acclara Solutions.
13. Media, Pa.-based Healthcare Administrative Partners, a provider of revenue cycle, coding and practice management services for specialty physician practices, unveiled Merit-Based Incentive Payment System compliance solutions.
