A $1.5 million donation was given to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee for an endowment, according to an Associated Press report.
The gift, which will be used for an intensive care endowment, comes from John and Linda Mellowes and was announced by the Wauwatosa health system, according to the report, which cites the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a source.
Children's Hospital CEO Peggy Troy told the Associated Press that the donation will aid the hospital in caring for babies and children that are critically ill.
A planned expansion and remodeling of the hospital's neonatal ICU is also in the works, according to the report.
