Brattleboro (Vt.) Memorial Hospital will begin a $22.7 million expansion project after Vermont regulators approved the proposal, according to the Brattleboro Reformer.
The expansion project includes constructing a four-story, 20,180-square-foot facility that will have a cardiac rehabilitation area, larger operating rooms and additional medical offices. In addition, the hospital will renovate currently vacated space and replace boilers that provide heating and cooling for the buildings.
Hospital administrators will now finalize design plans. Construction is expected to begin in 2018.
