Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based Vassar Brothers Medical Center broke ground Sept. 13 on a new $500 million patient pavilion, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.
The 696,000-square-foot, 60-story pavilion will feature 264 private rooms for patients and double the current number of emergency rooms available, among various improvements, according to officials. It will also include 30 critical care rooms, a 66-room emergency department, 12 surgical suites and a 300-seat conference center.
Construction is expected to wrap up in summer of 2019.
