UCHealth to build $185M hospital campus

Colorado Springs-based University of Colorado Health has unveiled plans to build a new health campus in Greeley, Colo.

The UCHealth Greeley Hospital will house 53 inpatient beds. It will include an intensive care unit, an emergency department, operating rooms, advanced cardiology services and a birth center. The new hospital will be the anchor of the health system's $185 million health campus project.

"UCHealth already serves tens of thousands of patients in the greater Greeley area, including thousands who travel to our other hospitals for care," said UCHealth President and CEO Elizabeth Concordia. "Our goal is to provide the very best, advanced care close to home, and we're proud to bring a new hospital and health center to Greeley to better serve our patients and the community."

Building the campus will provide approximately 500 construction jobs. Once completed, the hospital alone will provide more than 300 new healthcare positions.

The health system is also planning a separate outpatient health center for the campus. The medical office facility will consolidate many of the services UCHealth currently provides in the community to increase convenience for patients. The services that will be offered at the outpatient health center include primary care, oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatric care and more, in addition to lab, imaging and pharmacy services.
