An official groundbreaking ceremony Monday recognized that Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth has started construction on its full-service hospital and medical center in Greeley, Colo.
Here are six things to know about the project.
1. UCHealth Greeley Hospital will include approximately 153,000 square feet of space.
2. Features of UCHealth Greeley Hospital include an initial 53 inpatient beds, as well as a birth center, intensive care unit, operating and endoscopy rooms, a Level III trauma center and an emergency department, according to UCHealth.
3. UCHealth Greeley Medical Center will include 112,500 square feet of space.
4. The outpatient medical center's offerings include primary care services, specialty clinics, diagnostics, pharmacy, endoscopy, oncology and imaging and laboratory services, according to UCHealth.
5. UCHealth said they anticipate construction of UCHealth Greeley Hospital will bring in approximately 500 construction jobs, and more than 300 permanent jobs.
6. The health system anticipates construction to continue through late 2018, with the facilities opening soon after.
