Dallas-based Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children will build a satellite facility in Frisco, Texas, according to Culture Map.
The orthopedic hospital broke ground on the new 40-acre site last Wednesday. The project entails the construction of a five-story building bordered by playgrounds and walking paths, according to the report.
The facility will house the hospital's Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine and a walk-in fracture clinic, both of which are now located in Plano, Texas. The new campus will also provide outpatient services for spine, hip, hand, foot and limb condition, according to the report.
Texas Scottish Rite plans to open the new facility in 2018.
