Stony Brook (N.Y.) Medicine will open its four-story expansion of its children's hospital to patients Nov. 17, according to Newsday.
The project is part of the system's larger $450 million expansion plan that includes building a cancer center on the hospital's East Campus.
The new facility will house 48 single-bed rooms and offer 30 different pediatric specialties.
The children's hospital expansion was funded with $50 million in state aid and $25 million in gifts from more than 3,500 donors.
