Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network revealed a $26 million expansion of its Anderson campus in Easton, Pa., last week, The Morning Call reports.
The expansion comprises a 75,000-square-foot specialty pavilion with three floors. The pavilion houses same-day surgery, urology, obstetrics, gynecology, gastroenterology and laboratory services, as well as six operating rooms, the report states.
Ed Nawrocki, president of St. Luke's Anderson campus, said the pavilion is intended to decrease surgery wait times.
St. Luke's will hire 30 employees and transition 170 workers from other locations to staff the pavilion. The hospital will open the laboratory and operating rooms to patients next month, the report states.
