Shore Medical Center set to open new rehabilitation facility, Alzheimer's center

Somers Point, N.J.-based Shore Medical Center will expand its rehabilitation services to a new location and open a new center for Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

 

The rehabilitation services, including outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, physical, occupational and speech therapies, and balance assessments, which are currently located on the fourth floor of the hospital, will move to the Tomlinson Building in Somers Point to increase convenience for patients. The new location will open on July 31.

Shore Medical Center is opening the Flora Baker Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Center in Marmora, N.J., to provide residents and their families with access to Alzheimer's treatment and education. David Roeltgen, MD, who has 35 years of experience with diagnosing and treating Alzheimer's, will be the medical director at the new center.
