Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services began work on its $135 million Santa Fe hospital, Santa Fe New Mexican reports.
Presbyterian announced plans for the 305,000-square-foot facility in March. The building will house 30 inpatient beds, a six-bed birthing unit, an urgent care center and a 24/7 emergency department. Site services will include behavioral health, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, rheumatology and physical, occupational and speech therapy.
The Santa Fe hospital will be built on a 40-acre piece of land Presbyterian has owned since 2008. The hospital projects it will staff 295 employees, according to the report.
Completion is slated for early 2018.
