Bay Shore, N.Y.-based Southside Hospital, part of New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health, will expand its emergency department with a $112 million project, reports Newsday.
Southside Hospital will add additional inpatient services and increase its ED capacity fivefold. In addition, the hospital will create nearly 200 parking spaces to meet the growing demand.
Hospital officials told Newsday the renovation will shorten wait times and make parking easier.
