St. Louis-based Mercy is planning to build a $150 million hospital in southern Oklahoma City later this year, according to NewsOK.
The new six-story, 228,000-square-foot facility would include 72 patient beds, a helipad and hundreds of parking spaces. Construction plans also call for the facility to include an intensive care unit and pharmacy. The hospital will be located beside the Okalahoma Heart Hospital South in Oklahoma City, which is a partner of Mercy. The facility will be built to accommodate future expansions.
"We are always looking for ways to meet the growing health care needs of our community," David Whitaker, chief administrative officer of Mercy in Oklahoma, told NewsOK.
