Coldwater, Ohio-based Mercer Health broke ground on its $24 million expansion project Sunday, Your Hometown Stations reports.
The three-story addition will be connected to the existing west entrance of the current hospital. The space will add 54,000 square feet, including a surgical suite, private inpatient rooms and increased space for outpatient services.
The first construction phases of the project are slated to begin next month with completion expected in summer 2018, according to the report.
