McLaren Northern Michigan, a regional referral center, will undergo an expansion of its main campus in Petoskey, Mich., reports UPNorthLive.com.
Here are four things to know.
1. The 170,000-square-foot expansion will add 92 private patient rooms, 12 observation beds and six intensive care unit beds to the hospital.
2. Forty-five existing rooms will also be renovated to provide additional privacy and some will offer accommodations for family members, according to the report.
3. McLaren Northern Michigan has not calculated an exact price for the construction project, which will be paid for by the hospital and through donations.
4. Site planning is slated for June. The hospital expects to break ground on the expansion in summer 2018, reports UPNorthLive.com.
