Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, located in Hollywood, Fla., recently completed an expansion of its emergency department, reports the Hollywood Gazette.
Here are three things to know about the expansion.
- The project added 14 new beds, bringing the ED's total bed count to 36.
- The new ED contains a baseball themed décor for kids.
- A "Short Stop" area is used to treat and discharge patients with minor illnesses or injuries, according to the report.
