Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health has opened its fifth urgent care clinic since 2015.
The new clinic in Plainfield, Ind., is open seven days a week. Physicians at the clinic treat a range of conditions, from severe sore throat to minor cuts, and digital X-ray services are also offered at the clinic.
"We are proud to open an IU Health urgent care center to serve the Plainfield community and provide an alternative to unnecessary trips to the emergency room," said Ron Stiver, president of IU Health clinical services. "Our existing urgent care centers offer convenient access to our team of highly skilled physicians. We look forward to bringing the same level of accessibility and expertise to the residents of Plainfield."
