Brentwood, Tenn.-based TriStar Health, operated by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, will invest $500 million over the next three years to expand or upgrade six facilities in Middle Tennessee.
The biggest expansion will be at Nashville-based TriStar Centennial Medical Center, where HCA plans to spend $242.9 million. The project calls for $123.7 million to construct a four-story expansion of its patient tower, $50 million to renovate patient care floors and $69.2 million to build an eight-story parking garage.
Another highlight of the expansion project includes spending $69.3 million at Nashville's TriStar Skyline Medical Center to add two floors to the hospital, expand its emergency department and increase parking space.
HCA also plans to expand Hermitage, Tenn.-based TriStar Summit Medical Center; add 17 beds to the ED of Smyrna, Tenn.-based TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center; construct a behavioral health hospital in Columbia, Tenn.; and build a freestanding ED in Hermitage.
