Hackensack (N.J.) Meridian Health broke ground Sept. 13 on its nine-story, $714 million pavilion, according to NorthJersey.com.
The 530,000-square-foot building will house 50 intensive care unit beds, 150 medical-surgery beds and 50 orthopedic beds. It will also have 24 new operating rooms.
"Today we really embark on a great journey to help us deliver on our mission to transform health care," Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Robert Garrett told NorthJersey.com. "It's about putting patients first, providing them with the most cutting-edge care possible."
The pavilion is slated for completion in 2022.
