Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital, part of Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health, will begin a $160 million upgrade this fall, according to Greenwich Time.
Here are six things to know:
1. The project, set to be completed in 2020, will expand Greenwich's outpatient clinical service offerings. The major part of the project includes reconfiguring an office building owned by Greenwich.
2. All construction is internal; no changes will be made to the exterior of the building.
3. The office building will house physical therapy and rehab, primary care offices, X-ray machines and laboratory facilities.
4. The reconfiguration will create space to move several services from the hospital to the medical office building.
5. The hospital will create more private patient rooms with the new space.
6. Greenwich Hospital will add several physicians and build ambulatory care sites in Westchester and Fairfield counties.
