French Hospital Medical Center is constructing a multimillion-dollar birthing center at its San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based campus, reports KSBY.
Four out of the eight planned birthing suites are now in use at the hospital's Stollmeyer Family Birthing Center, according to the report.
The suites each contain a private bathroom, labor tubs and automated black out curtains, among other features.
French Hospital Medical Center expects the four remaining birthing suites, as well as a new waiting room, to be finished and ready for use by spring 2017.
