First phase of Elizabethtown Community Hospital's $10M expansion nears completion

Phase one of a three-phase, $10 million expansion project at Elizabethtown (N.Y.) Community Hospital is almost complete, according a WPTZ report.

Phase one of the expansion includes bigger hallways, an expanded nurse' station and 18 patient rooms, Jane Hooper, director of community relations, told WPTZ. The new inpatient unit also includes larger bathrooms, tinted windows and an innovative call center.

The second phase of the project includes a new inpatient physical therapy space, and phase three, which will be completed by spring of 2017, will include a family conference center and kitchen for staff, according to the report.
