Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla., plans to build two new emergency room facilities to accommodate the city's growing population and healthcare needs, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
Each ER will hold 12 beds and is expected to serve more than 25,000 patients per year.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $25 million, the largest capital investment for the hospital in a decade. The new ERs are expected to create 60 jobs, including physicians, nurses and other medical support staff.
Capital Regional Medical Center is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
