California hospital opens $340M emergency pavilion

Washington Hospital in Fremont, Calif., opened its $340 million emergency and critical care pavilion Nov. 12, according to SF Gate.

The 224,800-square-foot, three-story structure houses 116 beds and an expanded emergency department and critical care unit.  All rooms are single-occupancy.

The Morris Hyman Critical Care Pavilion is next to the hospital's helipad.
