The Shiloh Planning Commission unanimously approved an application Monday submitted by St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare to build a $22 million medical office building next to Memorial Hospital East in Bellville, Ill., according to the Bellville News-Democrat.
The Planning Commission approved the plan following a public hearing at village hall, and the Village Board of Trustees is expected to give the final green light August 1 during the next regular board meeting, according to the report.
BJC HealthCare and Memorial Hospital East finalized a partnership in January.
The two organizations filed a certificate of need application with the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board to build their first medical office building.
The new structure will be three-stories and 70,622 square feet, according to the report. If approved, construction will begin later this year with completion slated for the end of 2017.
