Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.-based Aspirus Riverview Hospital & Clinics will invest $25 million to enhance and expand its facility, according to WSAU.
Investments include a cardiovascular institute, additional clinic space, a family birthplace unit with hotel-like suites and more emergency department space. The cardiovascular institute and the clinic space are slated to be in operation by next year, and groundbreaking for the birthplace and ED remodel is set to begin early 2017.
Aspirus Riverview CEO Todd Burch said the investments will bring the hospital up to state-of-the-art patient care standards and solidify its commitment to Wisconsin Rapids, according to WSAU.
Wausau, Wis.-based Aspirus Network bought Riverview Hospital & Clinics for $100 million fifteen months ago. Aspirus Network includes four hospitals and 50 clinics in Wisconsin, as well as four hospitals in Michigan.
