1. Penn State Health seeks to build acute care hospital
Penn State Health, a multihospital system in Pennsylvania, plans to build a hospital on a 30-acre site in East Hempfield Township, Pa.
2. Texas health system plans $500M hospital expansion
San Antonio, Texas-based University Health System is preparing to begin a $500 million expansion at its main South Texas Medical Center campus.
3. New York's Mount Sinai to invest $1B in facility improvements
Mount Sinai Health System plans to invest $1 billion into facility upgrades and expansions in downtown New York City.
4. Stanford's $2B hospital to open in October
After more than a decade of planning and construction, Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care plans to open a $2 billion hospital in late October.
5. Fairview Health, U of Minnesota to open retail clinic at Mall of America
M Health Fairview — a new brand that combines Fairview Health Services, the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians, all based in Minneapolis — will build a walk- in clinic in the Mall of America.
