More than 20 independent physicians are planning a 25-bed specialty hospital in Cleveland's Beachwood suburb, Crain's Cleveland Business reports.
The inpatient hospital, projected to cost up to $60 million, would be a for-profit facility housing orthopedics, urology, general surgery and gastrointestinal services. Up to 200 employees would staff the hospital, which would feature six to eight operating rooms and 24/7 emergency services.
Physicians predict the hospital could open by late 2018 or early 2019. While the physicians would manage the hospital, its developer —Manna Isle Ohio in Cleveland — would own the hospital, Crain's Cleveland Business reports.
