Charleston, W.Va.-based Thomas Health recently deployed a Meditech Expanse EHR within its emergency department and acute care settings, according to a Dec. 17 news release.
The 403-bed health system plans to implement the mobile- and web-based EHR system within its ambulatory facilities by October 2020.
"The move to Expanse enables our healthcare providers to work smarter, not harder," Thomas Health CMO Matthew Upton, MD, said in the news release. "The cutting-edge technology streamlines workflows [and] advanced analytics, and provides an improved patient experience."
The EHR rollout was managed by a joint team of members from EHR implementation support company CereCore, Thomas Health and Meditech. The same team will help Thomas Health transition to the Expanse Ambulatory EHR next year.
