Yakima (Wash.) Valley Memorial Hospital will spend more than $100 million to install a new electronic health records system and change its name to reflect its affiliation with Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare Health System.
Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital will change its names to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, according to a Jan. 17 press release from Yakima.
The rebrand will come in waves and be ushered in with new signages and changes to the healths system's websites and correspondences.
In addition to the name change, the health system will invest more than $100 million over the next several years to implement a new EHR system.
MultiCare is a nonprofit health care organization with 12 hospitals in its network.
