Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak, Wash., deployed a Cerner EHR to move its hospital and clinic onto the same digital records platform.
Mid-Valley Hospital and Clinic began the EHR implementation project in 2017. Since January, the facilities have completed several rounds of integrated testing and staff training to ensure the EHR system functions properly.
The facilities launched the new EHR through Cerner's CommunityWorksSM, a cloud-based model specifically designed to support critical access hospitals during EHR implementation.
MVH patients also now have access to Cerner's online patient portal, which allows them to message physicians, schedule appointments and view their health information, among other functions.
