The Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hospital Center completed a transition to a new Epic EHR at its ambulatory care network sites, the organization confirmed Sept. 4.
The new EHR will help streamline services such as scheduling, clinical applications, billing and population health initiatives, and hospital center providers will be able to coordinate care with clinicians outside of the organization.
"Epic makes it easier for our providers to communicate and access the information they need to care for our patients," Gary Terrinoni, president and CEO of the hospital center. "There were many systems in place at our ambulatory care sites, and Epic allows us to consolidate onto a single, shared platform for patient care."
