Pullman (Wash.) Regional Hospital moved forward with the choice to partner with Providence to implement Epic's EHR system for the hospital and its network of clinics, Big Country News reported Jan. 6.
By installing the Epic system, the hospital aims to pursue the vision of one patient, one record, where healthcare information is stored in one safe place, according to the report.
"The vision for a single electronic medical record is patient-focused care," Scott Adams, Pullman Regional Hospital CEO, told Big Country News. "It's having the most accurate information at your provider's fingertips, so that the people charged with your care can make a complete and accurate diagnosis. It's seamless scheduling, and it's empowering patients by making it simple and easy to access a complete record of their medical history."
The hospital has been pursuing this initiative since 2017.
