Here is how Oracle Health, the EHR vendor formerly known as Cerner, started off 2024, according to seven Becker's stories.

1. Renton, Wash.-based Providence is looking to deploy Oracle and Epic's generative AI capabilities, CIO B.J. Moore said in a Jan. 22 story.

2. Payments company Salucro Healthcare Solutions said Jan. 16 it fully integrated its patient payment workflow into Cerner Millennium.

3. Oracle is moving the date and location of its upcoming Oracle Health Summit because of "huge interest," the Nashville (Tenn.) Business Journal reported Jan. 11.

4. Fitch Ratings upheld the long-term issuer default rating and unsecured debt of Oracle at "BBB" on Jan. 9. After acquiring EHR vendor Cerner, Oracle has constrained additional debt issuances and share buybacks and is focusing instead on repaying maturities through fiscal 2024, Fitch reported.

5. Healthcare data company MultiPlan Corp. said Jan. 4 it hired Travis Dalton, the former executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health.

6. Oracle Health chair David Feinberg, MD, joined Aegis Ventures, a venture studio that focuses on healthcare artificial intelligence and health tech, on Jan. 4.

7. Oracle's healthcare strategy for 2024 revolves around the Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant, an AI tool designed to actively engage in patient interactions, according to a Jan. 2 story.
