Columbus-based OhioHealth is integrating smart room technology into its Epic EHR through a new partnership with Vibe Health by eVideon.
Vibe will deploy a digital whiteboard that can pull real-time health information from Epic and display it to clinicians or patients. The new technology will be first available at OhioHealth Pickerington Memorial Hospital, set to open in December, according to an April 17eVideon news release.
The partnership will also include a collaboration with Caregility to provide virtual nursing telehealth tools and video calls to allow patients to connect with their families.
"As we prepare to open Pickerington Methodist Hospital, we want to ensure that we have the technology to elevate the quality of care that patients and their families will experience during their time with us," Andrea Darby, vice president of IT integration at OhioHealth, said in the release.
