Philadelphia, Miss.-based Neshoba County General Hospital and Nursing Home will deploy Cerner's integrated EHR and revenue cycle management system across its acute, ambulatory and nursing home facilities, the health IT vendor confirmed Jan. 4.
Hospital officials selected Cerner CommunityWorks, a cloud-based IT platform focused on the rural and community hospital market. Under the agreement, Neshoba County General Hospital and Nursing Home will transition to the Cerner Millennium EHR, which provides physicians with access to patients' clinical and financial data.
"The reporting capabilities will greatly enhance our accounting workflow, and having every department on a single platform will, hopefully, improve our revenue cycle performance," said Scott McNair, CFO of the hospital.
