Fairbury, Neb.-based Jefferson Community Health and Life hospital announced on March 2 it will transition to a Cerner Millennium EHR.
Three things to know:
1. The 17-bed hospital will use Cerner's cloud technology delivery model CommunityWorks, which is specifically designed to support critical access hospitals.
2. By implementing the Cerner system, Jefferson Community Health and Life clinicians across its hospitals and clinics will use a single, connected EHR. The hospital system includes ancillary services and two family medicine clinics.
3. Jefferson Community Health and Life patients will also now have access to an online patient portal, which allows them to view their health records and results, schedule appointments and exchange messages with healthcare providers, among other functions.
