Montana health system reports temporary disruptions during $25M Epic install

Helena, Mont.-based St. Peter's Health is warning of a "temporary disruption" to patients accessing medical records and scheduling appointments caused by the health system's $25 million transition to a new Epic EHR.

The health system announced the switch to Epic in June. The transition was made possible through a partnership with Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health.

According to a July 21 St. Peter's Health news release, most of the issues with the install related to MyChart.

"Our Epic partners, who work with health systems across the globe on EHR conversions, believe that our transition to Epic has been incredibly successful but we recognize that there is work to do to make this the best possible experience for our patients," the news release said.
