Meditech is rolling out a new, web-based EHR called Expanse designed for the post-meaningful use era, the company announced Feb. 27.
Expanse is a web-based platform with the goal of helping hospitals and health systems expand their reach and better connect patient care across the continuum. Its open workspace helps users prioritize satisfaction and productivity. Meditech hopes that this next-generation platform will enable physicians to streamline their EHR workflows and documentation to spend more time face-to-face with patients.
"With Expanse, we identified the need for an EHR for the post-meaningful use healthcare paradigm," said Meditech President and CEO Howard Messing. "Our clinicians deserve an open, dynamic workspace that allows them to connect care the way that works best for them and their patients. We don't believe this is something that should be exclusive, or come at an exorbitant cost. This is the future. This is the freedom and usability that everyone in healthcare should be accustomed to."
