Medical imaging startup raises $4M for EHR software: 4 notes

ImageMoverMD, a medical imaging software designed to integrate with EHRs, has received $4 million in financing to expand its technology services.

Four notes:

1. ImageMoverMD is designed to automate the collection and management of medical images.

2. Interoperable with any EHR system, ImageMoverMD's software was previously available on Epic's App Orchard, an online marketplace for third-party developers to showcase pre-approved apps that run on Epic's software infrastructure.

3. Bain Capital Ventures, Cultivation Capital and Health X Ventures are among the organizations that participated in ImageMoverMD's financing round.

4. Cincinnati Children's Hospital recently launched ImageMoverMD's mobile solution, which helps providers securely capture and store photos and videos using any iPhone or Android device.

"ImageMover's implementation process and integration with our EHR has been easy and seamless," Alexander Towbin, MD, Cincinnati Children's Hospital associate chief of clinical operations and radiology informatics, said in a news release. "It automates the process of managing and storing images from within the EHR, where providers are already working. The time savings, security advantages and improved patient and provider experience have all been fantastic."
