KLAS: EHR vendors lack effective support of population health management workflows

Across the board, EHR vendors appear to struggle with delivering effective software to help hospital clients manage population care workflows, according to a recent KLAS Research report.

For its Population Health Care Management 2019 report, KLAS measured healthcare organizations' satisfaction with their population care management software.

Customers of companies including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth and Allscripts reported that each vendor presents issues with facilitating population care workflows. Epic clients reported that data is difficult to navigate, and Cerner clients wanted more guidance with gathering data from different sources, according to the report.

Here's how report participants rated their respective population care management vendors' ability to support identifying patient populations and closing care gaps, based on a nine-point scale.

· Arcadia.io: 8.7
· HealthEC: 8.3
· Enil: 8.2
· I2i Population Health: 8.2
· Lightbeam: 7.8
· Innovaccer: 7.7
· Cerner: 7.3
· Epic: 6.8
