Epic approved PatientSafe Solutions' clinical communications tools for its App Orchard, the mobile clinical communication and workflow solutions company confirmed Aug. 2.
Epic's App Orchard serves as an online marketplace for third-party developers to showcase pre-approved reporting, visualization and content apps that run on Epic's software infrastructure. Through the App Orchard, Epic's hospital clients can now access the PatientTouch app from PatientSafe, which aggregates patient data from EHR and ancillary systems to help coordinate collaboration among care teams.
The PatientTouch app focuses on timely intervention for sepsis response, anti-microbial stewardship management and fall prevention, among other clinical conditions.
