Epic approved HealthPay24's payment page for its App Orchard, the patient financial engagement company confirmed June 12.
Epic's App Orchard serves as an online marketplace for third-party developers to showcase pre-approved reporting, visualization and content apps that run on Epic's software infrastructure. Through the App Orchard, Epic's hospital clients can now integrate HealthPay24's payment page into the EHR's patient portal, MyChart.
The app, which patients can access via MyChart, provides patients with a payment checkout service. The app also collects credit card and bank account details to store payment information for future use.
