Einstein Healthcare Network to add new clinical decision support to Cerner EHR

Philadelphia-based Einstein Healthcare Network implemented clinical improvement solutions from Zynx Health to its Cerner EHR.

Four things to know:

1. The unified solution will offer a streamlined framework for managing evidence-based clinical decision support throughout Einstein's network that consists of three hospitals, 11 outpatient centers and 42 primary care practice locations.

2. Zynx Health's clinical support tool Knowledge Analyzer is designed to create a longitudinal snapshot of the client's existing content, while ZynxOrder aims to provide systemized creation, review and incorporation of new order sets into the EHR.

3. "As the industry pushes further into value-based care models, leading healthcare organizations such as Einstein are recognizing that their physicians need easy access to standardized, evidence-based clinical content and order sets to save time while promoting the best possible clinical and financial outcomes," Zynx Health President Kevin Daly said in a news release.

4. Einstein is scheduled to implement the Zynx solutions in the second quarter of 2019.
